Can you name the originator of this quote?
The World Trade Center is a living symbol of man’s dedication to world peace… a representation of man’s belief in humanity, his need for individual dignity, his beliefs in the cooperation of men, and, through cooperation, his ability to find greatness.
His name was Minoru Yamasaki, a Japanese American architect (1912-1986). You might not recognize the name, but you know his work. He was the architect that designed and directed the construction of the World Trade Center. Amid all the terror of September 11th, it’s easy to forget the revolutionary engineering feat that the Twin Towers were. Looking at his words above, I’m glad he didn’t love to see that day.
